Ratargul Swamp Forest, located in Gowain River, Fatehpur Union, Gowainghat, Sylhet, Bangladesh, is the solitary swamp forest in the country and one of the rare freshwater swamp forests worldwide. The forest is under the natural conservation of the Government of Bangladesh's Department of Forestry.

The vast area of the forest extends over 3,325.61 acres, including 504 acres designated as an animal sanctuary in 2015. Known as the "Sundarbans of Sylhet," this exceptional swamp forest is situated 26 kilometers (16 mi) from Sylhet. The locals of Sylhet named the forest after the "Rata" or "Pati" tree.

Situated alongside the Goain River and connected to the Chengir Khal channel, the Ratargul forest predominantly features Millettia pinnata trees. During the rainy season, the forest submerges under 20-30 feet of water, while for the rest of the year, the water level recedes to approximately 10 feet. Ratargul is often referred to as the "Sundarban of Sylhet."

Transportation options include road, rail, or air travel from Dhaka to Sylhet, followed by a short journey. From Sylhet city, one can easily reach Sylhet railway station or Kadamtali bus stand within approximately 1.30 hours by CNG or autorickshaw. The distance from Kadamtali bus stand to Ratargul Swamp Forest is 26 km.
